Matthew Martin
Executive Vice President and Retail Market Manager, PNC Bank
Matthew Martin began his career with PNC in 2000 in Paterson, New Jersey. Mr. Martin spent seven years in New Jersey including roles as a Business Banking Sales Manager and Regional Manager. In 2007, Matt relocated with this family to serve as Area Manager in central Maryland during the acquisition of Mercantile Bank. During his time at PNC, Mr. Martin has played key roles in several retail banking initiatives to expand employee leadership and customer engagement.
Prior to joining PNC, Mr. Martin ran the retail network for a community bank with branches in New York City and Westchester County, New York. He began his career with Bank of America where he held various positions from Mortgage Underwriter to Branch Manager.
Mr. Martin has a degree in Political Science from Oregon State University. He is a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Association Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. He graduated from Leadership Baltimore County in 2008. Mr. Martin, his wife and two children live in Towson, Maryland.

Kenneth W. DeFontes, Jr.
President and CEO, Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE)
Kenneth W. DeFontes, Jr. is President and Chief Executive Officer of Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE). He served as Vice President, Electric Transmission and Distribution from 2000 to 2004.
Mr. DeFontes joined BGE in 1972 as an associate engineer and has held various leadership positions including supervisor, general supervisor, manager and vice president.
Mr. DeFontes served in the Md. Air National Guard from 1972 to 1978 and was honorably discharged as staff sergeant.
Mr. DeFontes is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, a designated officer of the PJM Transmission Owners' Agreement Administrative Committee, a member of the American Gas Association (AGA), Southeastern Electric Exchange (SEE), and Reliability First Corporation Board of Directors.
Other memberships include St. Joseph Medical Center Operating Board of Trustees, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) Board of Trustees, Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore Board of Directors, Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering National Advisory Council, The Center Club and Harford Flying Club.
Mr. DeFontes holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in business administration from Loyola College in Maryland. A resident of Baltimore County, Md. Mr. DeFontes is married and has one son.

Alan Wilson
Chairman, President and CEO
McCormick and Company
Alan Wilson is Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer. He joined McCormick in 1993, as Director of Procurement for retail products and the following year was promoted to Vice President, Corporate Procurement. He has since served a variety of roles within the Company gaining an understanding of the different facets of McCormick operations from supply chain to leadership of various business units.
During his tenure at McCormick, Mr. Wilson has held several executive management roles including President – Tubed Products, President – McCormick Canada, President – North American Consumer Products and, most recently, President & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining McCormick, Mr. Wilson worked for nine years at Procter & Gamble, where he held progressively responsible positions in product supply.
Born in South Carolina, Mr. Wilson earned a BS degree in communications from the University of Tennessee in 1980. He attended college on an R.O.T.C. scholarship and following college served as a U.S. Army Captain, with tours in the United States, United Kingdom and Germany.
Mr. Wilson serves on the Board of Directors for the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the St. Paul’s School Board of Trustees.

John K. Tolmie
John K. Tolmie is the president and CEO of St. Joseph Medical Center. Mr. Tolmie is the first leader representing the healthcare industry in the four-year history of the competition.
Under Mr. Tolmie’s leadership, St. Joseph Medical Center, a member of Catholic Health Initiatives, is a 364-bed acute care facility with more than 1,000 medical staff and $350 million in net revenues, has formed a partnership with St. Agnes Health, developed Physician Enterprise Corporation to operate and grow physician strategy and launched a Cancer Institute, among more. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Hospital Association, Catholic Health Association of the U.S., Maryland Hospital Association, Upper Chesapeake Health System Board, Stella Maris Advisory Board, Greater Baltimore Committee President’s Advisory Council and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland Board.
He holds a master's in health administration and an MBA from Georgia State University as well as a bachelor's in business administration from Virginia Tech.

Jonathan P. Murray

Jonathan P. Murray is a senior vice president of investments and a wealth management specialist for UBS in Hunt Valley, MD. From 1994 to 2006, he worked for Legg Mason in Baltimore. From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Murray worked for Kidder, Peabody, and Co., the New York Investment Banking firm. Prior to his investment career, he worked in higher education as the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Mr. Murray currently manages over $300 million of clients’ retirement assets and works closely with affluent families to help them achieve their financial goals through trusted, caring advice.
In addition to serving as a daily financial analyst on WBAL Radio in Baltimore, he is a contributor with his twin brother David on The Today Show and CNBC’s Morning Call, where they discuss current economic conditions, investment themes, and wealth management strategies. Their book, Two For the Money: A Guide for Balancing Retirement, Kids, and Aging Parents, was released in May, 2006 (Avalon Publishing Group). Mr. Murray is frequently quoted in The N.Y.Times, The Baltimore Sun and The Baltimore Business Journal. He is a lecturer for the Loyola College MBA program, the University of Maryland, and for The Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Murray graduated from Dickinson College in 1984 with a B.A. in English. He was elected as a trustee there, and served as chairman of the Finance, Budget and Audit Committee, chairman of the Investment Committee, and vice chairman of the Academic Affairs Committee. Mr. Murray and his wife live in the Pinehurst community of Baltimore with their two sons.

Born November 15, 1946 in Baltimore, Mr. Bramble graduated
from Calvert Hall College High School in 1966. He attended Towson University (formerly known as Towson State College), where he played on the school’s basketball team. He served two years in the United States Air Force (Strategic Air Command) as a medic. He has held high ranking positions including controller of Maryland National Bank; president & CEO of Virginia Federal Savings Bank; president, CEO and director of MNC Financial; president and CEO of First National Bank; vice chairman of MBNA America, among more.
Currently, Mr. Bramble is a member of Bank of America’s Board of Directors. Mr. Bramble has extensive board experience with additional organizations including Baltimore City Life Museums; Calvert Hall College High School; Constellation Energy Group; Downtown Partnership (former chair); Greater Baltimore Committee (former chair); Hippodrome Foundation (formerly Baltimore Center for the Performing Arts); Loyola College of Maryland; Mayor Schmoke’s Economic Advisory Council; Playing for Peace; and, University of Maryland Medical Center (former chair).

Edwin F. Hale, Sr. is currently:
Chairman and chief executive officer of 1st Mariner Bancorp
- Real estate developer of numerous properties including Canton Crossing, a $500 million project
- Owner of the back-to-back MISL Champs Baltimore Blast Professional Indoor Soccer Team
- Former chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Baltimore Bancorp
- Chairman and founder of Maryland Business Council
Mr. Hale has been honored as:
- "Entrepreneur of the Year" for 1996
- Baltimore Business Journal’s "Businessman of the Year"
- and is the recipient of numerous charitable awards
Born November 15, 1946 in Highlandtown, Mr. Hale graduated from Sparrows Point High School in 1964. He attended Essex Community College in Baltimore, Md., and the American International College in Springfield, Ma. He served two years in the United States Air Force (Strategic Air Command) as a medic.
He has one son, Edwin Jr., in the transportation field and two daughters, Ashley and Alexandra, still attending school and three grandsons. Mr. Hale currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
