The recipient of the Staff Performance Award has been at Towson University for the past 7 years and in that time has served two departments in the college and has shown a strong commitment to serving our students, faculty and staff.
This staff member is always willing to go above and beyond to help everyone. She is described as being dependable, thorough, efficient and a real team player. She did such a great job in her first position that she was promoted away by another department in our college. She is able to make sound decisions and is described as being intuitive and able to anticipate what is needed and what problems might arise. She has many large on-going responsibilities like coordinating contracts for over 70 adjunct faculty, ordering course books, handling department travel, and overseeing student workers.
That being said, the excerpts from the letters really tell the story. "As the Face of the department, she always greets students, faculty, staff and visitors with a friendly smile." She is a "gentle spirit with a fierce work ethic." One letter indicated that "she has given our department a positive reputation and she is a positive influence to all who are privileged to work with her" and that "she remains a vital contributor to the smooth running of the department and we are so grateful for the dedication and warmth she brings to the task."
For her excellent work ethic and commitment to her position, the 2013 Staff Performance award goes to Diana Bohle from the Department of Mathematics.
