NY Times Partnership

Towson University and the New York Times are collaborating to offer online credit and non-credit courses for public enrollment.   In addition to courses, we will be offering webinars in a variety of special topic areas for example, Homeland Security and the Home, Transportation Security, and many more.

Courses

Osher Course- African Art and Aesthetics
This self-paced course is for art lovers who wish to learn more about art from the African Continent. It is based on the philosophy that art is a universal language and helps the participant to familiarize him/herself with lesser known “objet d’art” and artifacts.

Osher Course- How the Brain Works
This self-paced course is for anyone fascinated with the human brain in all its mystery and intricacies. It introduces students to the basic anatomy and physiology of the nervous system and how the brain receives, processes and uses information to act on the world.

Project Management Leadership and Goals Attainment
This course is designed for those interested in more in-depth project management prep certification. Those enrolling in this course will qualify for the PMP Exam (PMBOK); however this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security Management (IHSM)
Towson University offers a fully online Master of Science degree in Integrated Homeland Security Management and the embedded graduate certificate in Security Assessment and Management. These two options form an interdisciplinary program to provide an applied graduate education for personnel working in various areas of homeland security, risk protection and management, emergency response, and crisis communications.

Graduate Certificate in Information Security and Assurance
The Graduate Certificate in the Information Security and Assurance program is a part of the Master of Science degree in Applied Information Technology. The degree program provides not only a graduate program in applied information technology, but also six graduate level certificate programs in a number of innovative IT skill areas with Information Security and Assurance being one of the six.

Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Management
The Graduate Certificate in the Information Systems Management program is a part of the Master of Science degree in Applied Information Technology. The degree program provides not only a graduate program in applied information technology, but also six graduate level certificate programs in a number of innovative IT skill areas with Information Systems Management being one of the six.

Graduate Certificate in Interactive Media Design
nteractive Media Design, an online graduate certificate program, offers professionals, artists and educators the opportunity to advance their interactive media design knowledge and skills. Students complete four graduate-level studio art courses which address the front-end design and production of Web sites and multimedia.

 

Online Course Refund Policy: Refunds for online courses are only given under the following circumstances: The student/user did not access any portion of the online course and the student/user requests a refund, in writing via email within three business days from the date of the course setup (email notification sent). Students/Users who access the courses online in any manner will not be eligible for any refund. There will be no refunds for any online courses (or curricula) once a course has been accessed in any manner.
