Every year, the Maryland Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) holds a
conference
event in which
you have the opportunity to attend. As a
student, this is your cha nce
to enhance your professional development and even expand your current
occupational therapy knowledge background. You will be exposed to cutting-edge
evidence-based practices and a multitude of treatment interventions that will put you one step ahead
of other students.
During the two-day conference (typically a Friday and Saturday), a variety of sessions and
institutes are offered in specialty areas such
as pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health,
physical dysfunctions, driving, and many more.
You have the power to choose what sessions and
institutes you want to attend to create your own
memorable experience. Not only is the cost of
conference less for students, but if you are a MOTA member you save even more! Volunteering is
also an option and a good way to possibly attend
a few sessions at an even more discounted rate.
