Occupational Therapy Professional Master's Program (M.S.)

Specialization in Graduate Course Work

Students may specialize by completing 6 term hours in a clinical area of interest, pediatrics, gerontology, or administration or education.

Specialization Courses (select one) (6 term hours)

A. Pediatrics

  • OCTH 623 Evaluation in Pediatric Occupational Therapy (3)
  • OCTH 633 Occupational Therapy Treatment in Pediatrics (3)

B. Gerontology

  • OCTH 621 Geriatric Rehabilitation (3)
  • OCTH 631 Community Gerontology (3)

C. Administration/Supervision

  • OCTH 605 Managing Human Resources in Occ. Therapy (3)
  • OCTH 606 Managing Occupational Therapy Services (3)

D. Education

  • Selected Course in Education in conjuction with advisor.
  • NURS 712 / IDHP 712 The Adult Learner (3)

E. Other

  • Selected Course in clinical interest area in conjunction with advisor.

Electives Courses ( 3- 6 term hours)

Students who complete the Project option will have six units of electives. Students who complete the Thesis option will have three units of elective.
