Towson OPportunities in STEM

A Message to Prospective Students

The TOPS Program is a unique opportunity available to incoming freshman and BCCC transfer students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at Towson University. Students selected to participate in TOPS may be eligible to receive the benefit of:

  • Scholarship awards ranging from $1000-$3500 a year with the possibility of renewal for all four years.
  • A built in peer group with guidance from upper classman to help navigate the adjustment to college life and academic expectations.
  • Cohort registration that places other TOPS students in the same classes making the creation of study groups a breeze.
  • A Learning Center with computer access conveniently located in the Science Building. This is a great place to study or work on group projects.

We look forward to hearing from you with any questions or comments you have about the process.

For more information, contact us at TOPS@towson.edu.

Sincerely,

Annie and Tissa

"Being a freshman can be challenging but through the TOPS program I was able to transition from high school. I was able to meet students with similar goals and aspirations. I hope to get a degree in Biology and pursue a career in biomedical research."
