Summer Experience

Packing List

What to bring:

  • Waiver form completed and signed.
  • Clothes for the week – Please be aware that some classrooms and labs are cold.
    • regular school clothes (t-shirts and shorts);
    • dress clothes to wear for a formal presentation;
    • sweatshirt/jacket for evening outings;
    • raincoat/umbrella.
  • Toiletries/Personal Hygiene Products and extra glasses or contacts.
  • Prescription Medication
  • Pens/Pencils
  • Your One Card (if you already have it)
  • A small supply of snacks (pop-tarts, chips, popcorn)
  • A fantastic attitude!
  • Optional: A favorite game (board, card, ball etc.)

What NOT to bring:

A main purpose of the TOPS Summer Experience is to allow you the time and space neccesary to meet other new students and build connections through a shared experience. We have found that the following items do not create an environment that is conducive to acheiveing this goal. With that being said we ask that you do not bring the following:

  • MP3 player
  • Headsets
  • Alcohol
  • Non-prescription Drugs (other than over-the-counter)
  • Weapons
  • Personal Vehicle
  • Laptop/Netbook Computers (you will have access to a full lab from 8am-midnight daily)
  • Outside Guests

•Illegal use of drugs, alcohol, and/or nicotine products will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action in accordance to the university’s Code of Student Conduct.
