Report Reveals University Alcohol & Drug Programs and Policies Making a Difference
For nearly 20 years Towson University has recognized student risks when using alcohol and drugs and remains committed to it's efforts to reduce those risks. Towson's Student Affairs division recently released a 2-page report summary highlighting the positive differences the university's Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug (ATOD) programs and policies are making in student perceptions and behaviors. Towson provided students with a new guide for living off-campus. This guide gives students information about making a decision on where to live and how to navigate the additional responsibilities of living off-campus.
We encourage our students to be aware of city codes and get to know their neighbors.
Student Affairs VP Moriarty Concludes Term as Towson Chamber of Commerce President
TU Vice President of Student Affairs will conclude her term as the President of the Towson Chamber of Commerce at the organization's annual luncheon on June 17, 2012. Moriarty took the position after formerly serving as Vice President of the Chamber and succeeded David Hinshaw, general manager of the Towson University Marriott Conference Hotel. Entering her 8th year as vice president at TU, Moriarty has dedicated more then 30 years to her career in higher education. She is a member of Baltimore's Collegetown Network board of directors, past chair of the GTCCA's University Relations Committee, and in 2009 selected as the Daily Record's Top 100 Maryland Women. Towson University Institute for Well-Being
Towson University is contributing to the revitalization of downtown Towson by securing a long-term lease at One Investment Place in Towson, Maryland. The approximate 46,000 square-foot portion of the building is providing the university with much-needed space for existing outreach clinics and consolidate them to one easy-to-access location for the community. College of Health Professions clinics on site include: , the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, the Speech, Language and Hearing Center, Occupational Therapy Outreach Center, and a new Hussman Center for Adults with Autism.
