Welcome back! The Academic Achievement Center is excited about our individualized assessment options: LASSI, Strengths, and Locus of Control.
If you are experiencing difficulties in class, your course instructor is your primary available resource. When additional assistance is needed, the AAC support network is a great secondary resource for students. The AAC has a dedicated professional staff in addition to wonderful student staff who all strive to help students succeed academically.
Tutorial services are provided free of charge on an appointment or drop-in basis, depending on the course. Our tutors are Towson students who are trained through our internationally recognized CRLA certified program. If you enjoy sharing your academic abilities with your peers, we also offer opportunities to tutor most general education courses.
The AAC conducts academic learning strategies workshops on various topics including time management, note-taking, exam preparation, and reading comprehension. These workshops help with the adjustment to campus life and are an example of how we work closely with university faculty and advisors to assure students have an academically successful college experience.
The Academic Achievement Center is friendly environment where all Towson students can receive assistance in achieving their academic goals.
