The gravity of issues that we as a faculty are confronting is growing, as the global, national, and state level economies remain troubled. Dedicated faculty members are working hard through the vehicle of the TU-AAUP and its standing committees to enhance the work environment for faculty on our campus while striving to help faculty balance work and family life. Please take a moment to read about the ways that AAUP committees have been addressing the pressures of work life and parental leave; mentoring faculty on campus; and compensation, issues which affect all of us. The strength of the organization derives from the strength of our membership. Please consider joining both the TU-AAUP by emailing Isabel Castrovazquez, our local treasurer, and the national AAUP, both of which are tax-deductible. |
