Maryland AAUP Report


The nomination committee of the AAUP Maryland State Conference is currently soliciting nominations for the following positions: President, Treasurer, and two at-large seats. A brief description of responsibilities involved for each office appears below. 


Nominations may be sent at your earliest convenience to the executive committee at , but no later than Monday, January 24th, 2011The nominees will be asked to provide a brief professional biography or statement of interest; this information will then appear on an electronic ballot, which will be forwarded to members later in the Spring, 2011, when the national AAUP conducts its annual elections.

Call for Spring 2011 Nominations!


President: duties include carrying out the policies of the conference, appointing all committees of the conference, exercising general supervision over conference activities, and presiding at meetings of the conference and executive committee.  The president shall be a member ex officio of all committees.


Treasurer: keeps an accurate record of all funds received and disbursed; at the request of the executive committee, the treasurer shall prepare an annual conference budget and report of finances and submit them for approval; the treasurer remits any dues or funds collected on behalf of the conference.


At-Large Officers: duties include helping to organize and plan conference activities, events and policies; when applicable, assists committees in carrying through with agendas and goals.
