Faculty Tenures and Promotions
The University has recognized the accomplishments
of colleagues for the 2004-2005 academic year, in all three areas of
the academic career—teaching, scholarship, and service—by
granting promotion and/or tenure. These people are typical of the Towson
faculty: dedicated and innovative in the classroom and within their
academic areas of specialization. Please consult the Provost's letter,
reprinted with permission here, to see which of your colleagues has
received this distinction. Please take a moment to contact those among
them whom you know, to thank them for their work and congratulate them
on this well-deserved recognition.

Junior Faculty Caucus of the AAUP have been discussing the implementation
of mandatory third-year reviews for junior faculty.
