Study Abroad 201
Ready to take the next step? Our Study Abroad 201 group advising session is mandatory for all students.* 201 advising sessions are held Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. in the TU Study Abroad Office on the 4th floor of the Psychology Building in Room 408. The group meeting tells you everything you need to know about the study abroad process including how to search for programs, how to apply, financial aid and scholarships, and course, grade, and credit transfers. The meeting lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Can't make it to a session? Students unable to attend a regularly scheduled 101 information session or 201 group advising meeting may send an email to peeradvisor AT_TOWSON to request a make-up session with a Study Abroad Peer Adviser.
Meet with a Study Abroad Adviser
After attending the 201 group advising session, you are required to schedule a one-on-one meeting with a Study Abroad Adviser to begin planning your study abroad experience.* Together you can compare program options and discuss your goals for study abroad to find a program that suits your specific needs. Don't forget to bring your advising packet from the Study Abroad 201 group advising session to your appointment!
*Students applying to participate in a TU faculty-led short-term program are not required to attend an information session or meet with a Study Abroad Adviser.
NOTE: Sessions and advising appointments are only for TU students or students considering earning a full degree at TU. Non-TU students should contact the Study Abroad Office at their home institution.
