Frequently Asked Questions

1) When and where does the Service Awards Ceremony take place?

The Service Awards Ceremony will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012 in the Ballrooms at the West Village Commons.

2) How can I view the list of Service Award recipients?

By mid December, you will be able to click on the ‘Service Award Recipients’ link below to see this year's list. Last year's recipients are still listed.

3) Did the Service Awards change to a breakfast?

Yes, feedback from the past three years showed that people thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast.  We decided to repeat that positive experience again this year.  

 

4) What is on the menu?

Danishes; Muffins; Bagels with Cream Cheese, Butter & Jam; Fresh Fruit Salad; Baked Egg         Casserole; Bacon; Sausage; Roasted Country Potatoes; French Toast with Butter & Maple Syrup; Bone in Ham served with Dijon; Coffee; Hot Tea; Apple & Orange Juices.

 

5) I’m an Award Recipient. How do I get my ticket for the event?

Award recipients must pick up their complimentary ticket(s) in person in AD 115 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. between March 26 - 30, 2012. Please see your brochure that was mailed to your home address in January 2012 for ticket details.

6) I’m not an Award Recipient, but I’d still like to attend the event.  How do I get a ticket?

If there are tickets remaining, a general campus distribution for Faculty/Staff not receiving an award will be conducted in mid April .  A table will be set up in the University Union, 2nd floor, outside of the Susquehanna Room at a designated time.  You must pick up a ticket in person and present your valid TU ID. 

7) I’m an Award Recipient and I ordered my award.  How can I get it?

Awards will be distributed during the Service Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 3, 2012. If you ordered a rocking chair it will be shipped right to your home.

8) I’m an Award Recipient, but I can’t attend the ceremony on May 3, 2012.  How do I pick up my award?

The following week after the Service Awards ceremony, awards will be available for pickup in AD 115 between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If you are a retiree who is not attending the ceremony, your award will be shipped to your home.

 

Awards

Orders have to be made by Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Service award recipients not placing orders by February 21, 2012 will receive the default gift, which is the Lapel Pin for your number of years of service.
