In order to keep faculty and staff connected, the Office of Technology Services assists users with network connections, both by establishing new connections and by troubleshooting existing network connections. OTS also offers a Virtual Workspace service which provides University employees access to certain software applications, Microsoft Outlook and network file shares from any off-campus computer. The Virtual Workspace (http://vw.towson.edu) is the preferred remote access solution. In addition, a Remote Desktop Gateway service (http://remotedesktop.towson.edu) is provided to allow faculty and staff the ability to remotely connect to their Windows-based campus computer from off-campus.
