All Apple university Mac computer purchases for faculty and staff should be directed to the Faculty /Staff Help Center at 410-704-5151, select menu options 2+2+2. OTS staff will assist departments with Macintosh tax-free discounted purchases. It is essential that all university computers are setup by OTS staff to assure that they are correctly configured to work on the campus network and access university products and services.
If extenuating circumstances require that a Mac be purchased quickly with a p-card, departments should first contact the Apple Store in Towson to determine if the computer they want is available, than contact Jack Stark at 410-704-3905 in advance to make arrangements to have the Mac configured for Towson. Mac computers will not run correctly on the campus network unless they are configured by OTS staff.
2. How do I purchase an iOS device (iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone) for the university?
iPad and iPod Touch: Unlike Mac computers, iPads the iPod Touch do not have a standard university configurations and can be purchased directly by contacting Apple Education at: 800-800-2775.

3. How do I purchase a Macintosh computer for my personal use
For personal Mac purchases, faculty, staff and students can purchases at the online Apple Store (do not use this site for university purchases, see FAQ 1 above).

2. How do faculty and staff purchase software for a personal Macintosh computer?
Under the MEEC Agreement , faculty and staff can purchase available Mac software such as Microsoft Office for use on their personal computer. See the University Store Faculty/Staff Work at Home page for information.
