Dining Plans FAQ
If I don’t use all my meals in one week, do they carry over
to the following week?
Both Restricted and Unrestricted Meal Plans meals will NOT carry over from week to week. Your meal plan will reset on Thursday nights, allotting your new week’s meals starting on Friday morning. It is important that you select your dining plan based on your academic schedule and your eating patterns in order to get the greatest value.
What happens to my unused Declining Balance Dining Points at the end of the semester?
Declining Balance Points will carry over from year to year as long as you are enrolled at Towson University.
Can I treat a guest by using two “meals” in a meal period?
The Unrestricted and Restricted Meal Plans come with 4 FREE guest passes that can be used at any time during the semester.
If you have the Unrestricted or Block Meal Plan you may use as many meals during one transaction as you wish.
What do I do if my Dining Points run low?
Each time you make a purchase using your Dining Points, your balance will be displayed on the register screen. If your Dining Points run low, you may add additional Dining Points at any time online [links to onecard site] or by visiting the Auxiliary Services Business Office (UU 1st Floor).
What is the meal exchange/cash allowance option?
If you choose to spend your meals somewhere other than the dining halls you may “exchange” your meal for a cash value of $5.25 at any of the a-la-carte locations.
Can I change my plan once the semester has begun?
Yes! Because Dining Services realizes that your schedule may change at the beginning of the semester, you have the option of changing your meal plan ONE time each semester, until the date the Bursar’s Office finalizes the charges for the semester. This date is posted in the dining halls and published in the university’s student newspaper,
The Towerlight.
