Meal Plans

We offer a number of meal plans to best fit your academic, work and social schedules as well as your eating patterns. Meal plans are available for students living in residence halls on campus, students living off campus, and faculty and staff.

If you live on campus in one of the residence halls (except in the Towson Run Apartments), you’re required to purchase a meal plan.  You can choose from either an “Unrestricted” or “Restricted Meal Plan.”  If you live off campus, you can choose from either the “Unrestricted” or “Restricted Meal Plans” or the “Block Meal Plans.”  Students residing in the new West Village resident buildings are strongly encouraged to sign-up for a meal plan.

Meal Plans come with two components: “Meals” and “Dining Points.” Choose a plan based on the number of meals that you think you will eat per week. For students living off campus, consider how many times per week you will eat on campus. Meal plans and Dining Points are accessed through your OneCard, which is your student ID. Your OneCard works like a debit card; at the time of the transaction you will see your remaining Meal and Dining Points balance.

Unused meals can be exchanged for “cash equivalency” at all locations (except Paws at lunch and Starbucks at breakfast and lunch). Additional meals and snacks can be purchased at any Dining Services location using your Dining Points.
