Resident Student Dining Plans
Dining plans are designed to accommodate your academic, work and social schedules, as well as your eating patterns. If you’re living in the residence halls, you’re required by the university to purchase a dining plan. You can choose from any of our NEW Flex Dining Plans (previously the Unrestricted Plans). The "Restricted Meal Plans" are no longer available due to low participation. Your student ID, the OneCard, allows you to use your meal plan at the Glen Marketplace, Newell Dining Hall and all of our a-la-carte locations. All meal plans come with two components: meals and dining points.

Meals
For students living in traditional residence halls, there is no better value than the "meals per week" plan. It allows you to enjoy a specified number of meals each week during the semester. Cash allowance or trade-in value for breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in many of our a-la-carte facilities through the meal exchange program. Each time you use a meal it is subtracted from your weekly balance. Meals do not carry over from week to week. The meal plans reset every Thursday night.
Meal Periods are as follows:
Breakfast: 7 – 11 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Dinner: 4:15 – 11:30 p.m.
Dining Points
OneCard Dining Points are a declining balance account that works like a debit card. You can use Dining Points to buy additional meals, snacks and beverages at a-la-carte locations. Each time you make a purchase, the amount is subtracted from your OneCard Dining Points balance. Dining Points carry over from semester to semester and year to year, as long as you are an enrolled student. You can add Dining Points to your OneCard account at any time.

How to Choose a Dining Plan
Understanding the Flex Dining Plan
- Flex Plans allow you to use the allotted amount of meals (10, 14, or 19) any way you choose during the week. The week runs from Friday breakfast through Thursday dinner.
- Flex Plans allow you to eat more than one meal per meal period. For example, eating lunch at 11:05 a.m., and a second meal at 3:30 p.m., would place both meals in the lunch meal period.
- You can swap unused meals for cash allowances toward a-la-carte purchases at numerous locations around campus including PAWS, the Den and the Susquehanna Food Court.
- The majority of resident students on a Flex Plan choose the 14 meals/week plan.
