PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Chartered Bus Reservations

Parking and Transportation Services offers chartered bus reservations to the university community on a first come first served basis. All requests for chartered bus rentals must be made through the Parking and Transportation Services office and should be submitted a minimum of 10 business days prior to the event date. Requests are subject to the availability of provider equipment.

The university has awarded a bid to select companies to provide charter service to the campus. Only these companies may be used for charter service and are the only companies authorized to have buses on the campus.

Departments or organizations who wish to request a chartered bus should expect to have their request filled by an outside charter bus company. Rates for charter service will be determined by the type of vehicle that is requested and based on rates charged by the provider. The requestor will be notified of the cost and service provider by Parking and Transportation Services.

Out of state charters, including those to Washington DC, must be done through a charter company.  Towson University vehicles and drivers will not be available.

All transportation request forms must be complete with university funding information.   By submitting the form, the department is requesting service and will be responsible for associated charges unless written notice to cancel is received at least two business days prior to the trip.  Written notice should be sent to upark@towson.edu.

To obtain an estimate for a trip, complete the Transportation Request Form and select the estimate option.  Submit the completed form online to Parking and Transportation Services.   If the estimate is accepted, written verification should be submitted to Parking & Transportation services. The charter will be confirmed when written verification is received.

On occasion, Towson University buses may be available to provide charter service. In the event TU vehicles and drivers are available, the rates below apply.

  • All of the following charges include driver

  • Charges begin with a driver's pre check of the vehicle and end when the vehicle returns to the general services lot and the driver completes a post check.
