In order to properly manage large events in the Towson Center and stadium areas, event parking programs will be implemented during major events. Vehicles remaining in restricted lots will be subject to citations and towing at the owner's expense.
Individuals wishing to park in the restricted lots will be required to display a pre-issued game day permit that provides access to that specific lot. During the 2015-16 season, game day general parking fees are included in the game ticket price.Please contact Athletics for information regarding game ticket prices: www.towsontigers.com
Unless specifically noted, Towson University permits will not be valid for game day parking in designated lots. Free parking is available on weekends in most other core campus lots, unless noted otherwise as below or posted at the lot on game day. Please read the signs prior to parking in a lot.
Please note that practices are not considered athletic events, so individuals coming to observe practices are required to obtain a valid visitor's permit and park in an appropriate area. Fans attending any team activity not specifically noted below are required to obtain a valid visitor's permit and park in an appropriate area.
Tournaments, as well as pre- and post-season sporting events, will be handled on an individual basis.
Major Sporting Events (Football, Basketball, Lacrosse)
Designated lots will be closed prior to the event or game and will reopen for parking three hours prior to the game's starting time. For football and lacrosse games held on Saturday, vehicles in those restricted lots will need to be relocated six hours prior to game time.
Below are the restricted lots for most major Athletic Events. In the event of warranted restrictions being expanded, notification will be provided through the T3 Daily Announcements.
All Towson Center Lots - 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21
Fans may purchase Season Parking Permits for reserved lots for the Football, Men's and Women's Basketball, and LAX seasons. Major sports Season Parking Permits are available for purchase from the Ticket Office located in the Auxiliary Services Business Office on the ground floor of the University Union.
Note: Annual & term TU parking permit holders will be given access, free of charge, to the Union garage during football games and the Towson Center lots during basketball games.
Two buses will operate on the Gold Route, that serves all campus areas, starting 4 hours prior to game time through 1 hour after the game has ended.
Game Day parking permits will be required to park in lots 19, 20 and 21.
General parking in Lots 13, 14 and all core campus garages available 4 hours prior to game time.
Athletics staff, coaches, players, etc. with game day permits will park at the Osler Medical Center lot.
Non-Athletics dept. workers and outside vendor support staff will park in the Union Garage and utilize the staff shuttle that will run from the Union Garage lower level bus slip to the Towson Center.
During Football games free parking is available on the core campus in all Commuter and Faculty/Staff lots.
Groups desiring to reserve 25+ parking spaces must contact Parking & Transportation directly to request an event and receive their permits and designated parking area. Those requesting group parking are not guaranteed reserved parking.
Visiting team fan tailgate area will be available in Lot 12. Tents can be requested through Athletics by visiting http://www.towsontigers.com/
Parking & Transportation will provide a greeter a 1/2 hour before and after the event start time at the designated parking area for each sport. Fans attending non-major sporting events arriving during the above mentioned time will receive a parking permit from the greeter. The cost of the parking permit is included in the price of the game ticket. Patrons who arrive outside of the 1/2 hour before and after game start time window, or do not park in the sport's designated area are required to purchase and display a valid visitor's permit from one of the pay station kiosks located throughout campus.
Designated parking areas for Olympic Sports are as listed below:
Baseball-- Towsontown Garage (please follow the signage to the event parking area)
Softball-- Lot 20 (please use the lot entrance near the Towson Center)
Tennis-- Lot 20 (please use the lot entrance near the Towson Center)
The information below is meant to provide an overview of the best options for accessing parking areas. Limited general parking will be available in lot 14 near the stadium. Once this lot is full only those with game day permits or state issued handicapped plates/placards will be allowed access to the parking lots around the stadium. Additional free general parking will be available in the Union, Towsontown and Glen garages on the core campus.
Signs will be posted on roadways. Please follow the direction of posted signs and staff.
Individuals who have pre-purchased or been provided a game day permit should follow the directions below for easy access to the assigned lot. Permits must be clearly displayed prior to entering the parking area, in order to gain access to the parking areas. Individuals who have not received their game day permit prior to arrival will need to arrange to meet at another location to obtain their permit or park in a general parking area.
President's guest permit holders, lot 19, lot 20 and lot 21 permit holders should enter from the Auburn South entrance. To avoid traffic, it is recommended that drivers use Stevenson Lane to get to Osler Drive.
Individuals with game day permits for lots 13 and 14 must enter through the Auburn North entrance.
Parking for individuals with state issued plates/placards is available in all parking lots. For sporting events held during the week, game day or visitor permits are required in addition to the handicapped plate/placard. For major sporting events, it is recommended that drivers enter from the Osler North entrance. Staff will direct drivers to the closest available handicapped parking.
