One "Commencement" permit will be issued to each graduate with their cap and gown. Commencement permits are required to park in designated lots as indicated below. Please review the information provided with your permit for specific information regarding parking locations for graduates, guests and individuals with mobility issues.
Commencement Day Parking Information
If you are attending one of the ceremonies, please expect heavy traffic throughout the day starting at 8 a.m. Towson Center parking lots 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21 will be restricted to graduates who have a Commencement day permit or individuals with handicapped permits/plates.
Guests and those without a Commencement permit or handicapped permits/plates will be directed to park in the Union Garage. Shuttle buses will transport guests to/from the garage to the Towson Center. The shuttle buses will run 1.5 hours before and after each ceremony.
PLEASE NOTE: Vehicles will NOT be permitted near the SECU Arena area to drop off passengers. Individuals must park in their designated areas and ride the shuttle or walk to the SECU Arena.

PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT PARKING LOTS
All Towson Center Lots (13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 21a, and 21b) are reserved for commencement use only.
Graduates displaying a "Commencement" permit will have access to lots 13, 14, and 19. Graduates who arrive without the "Commencement" permit will be directed to the Union Garage.
Handicapped parking for individuals with valid state issued handicapped permits/plates will be available in lot 21 next to the Towson Center and lot 13.
Individuals with Commencement permits or handicapped permits/plates should follow the road signs and enter from the south side of Auburn Drive. Parking staff will provide direction to the next available lot.
Designated parking for VIP's and Faculty participating in the ceremonies will be available. Commencement day permits will be required for these areas. Specific locations will be communicated to the individuals and indicated on the commencement day parking permit.
Lots will open 1 ½ hours prior to the ceremony for graduates and their guests.
Graduation Shuttles – Shuttle buses will run continuously between the Union Garage and the Towson Center 1 ½ hours before the ceremony, during the ceremony and for 1 ½ hours after each ceremony.
Regular shuttle routes will not be in operation.
Individuals with Disabilities
Parking for individuals with disabilities will be available in lot 21 adjacent to the Towson Center while space is available. Once this lot is full, additional parking will be available in lot 13. In order to utilize handicapped parking spaces, a valid state issued handicapped permit or license plate must be clearly displayed. Parking and Transportation services recommends that individuals with mobility issues travel in the vehicle that will be in possession of the Commencement permit.
Vehicles will NOT be permitted near the Towson Center to drop off passengers. Individuals must park in their designated areas and ride the shuttle or walk to the SECU Arena.
Guests with mobility needs who do not have a state issued accessible license plate or hangtag should park in the designated lot based on whether or not they have a Graduate Commencement permit. If you have a commencement Graduate permit, you should park as directed by staff, in one of the Graduate parking lots (13, 14 or 19) at the Towson Center. If you do not have a commencement Graduate permit you should park in the Union garage. Para transit services will be available from all Towson Center lots to transport guests with mobility issues to the Towson Center. Guest who utilize the Paratransit service from the Towson Center lots are welcome to have 1 other member of their party ride the Paratransit.
Shuttle buses will also be available to transport guests, including those with mobility issues, from the Union garage to the Towson Center.
After the ceremony, shuttles and the Para transit will be available to transport passengers back to parking lots. For those with mobility issues who are returning to Towson Center lots 13, 14 or 19, please look for posted signs outside of the Towson Center where you were dropped off or speak with a Parking & Transportation representative. If you are returning to the Union garage, please look for the shuttle buses marked for the “Union Garage.
