As part of the environmental initiatives associated with Towson University, Parking & Transportation Services offers a Hybrid Vehicle Permit Program. Eligible faculty, staff and students are able to obtain an annual parking permit at half of the applicable rate. Below is a link to the application and policies associated with the Hybrid Vehicle Permit Program.
Parking rates are based on the prior years income (July through June). Changes (increases or decreases) in income throughout a year, may not affect the parking rate code for the coming year.
AVI tags will be provided with F/S permits and may be used from one year to the next provided the employee has a valid F/S parking permit. AVI tags remain the property of Towson University and must be returned upon separation from the university. Individuals who do not return the AVI tag will be charged the replacement fee. The cost of the original AVI device will be included in the price of the permit. Replacements for malfunctioning tags are available at no charge - tag must be returned to receive a free replacement.
Most miscellaneous permits listed below are not valid in Faculty/Staff lots. Please contact the Auxiliary Business Office for information regarding the type of permit you are eligible for and where the permit is valid.
Lost or stolen permits are replaced at a cost of $25. Replacement fees are non-refundable.

*Motorcycle permits must be obtained in person at the Auxiliary Business Office. Motorcycles registered as a secondary vehicle will be linked to the customers parking permit.
** AVI tags will not be included with weekly or monthly permits. Individuals may purchase an AVI tag for the same cost as a replacement fee. Employees are limited to 2 monthly permits per academic year.
Permits are pro-rated weekly beginning in September. Figures below are estimates only. The actual cost of a permit depends on the date the permit is purchased. No refunds will be processed for Annual permits after March 29th. Please contact the office for summer rates.

Refunds are available for annual and semester permits. Short term permits such as monthly or weekly permits are not eligible for refunds. Faculty/Staff who no longer need a parking permit may be eligible for a pro-rated refund through the end of March. Please ensure you return the AVI transponder in order to avoid being charged a replacement fee. In order to be eligible for a refund, individuals must complete a cancellation card and submit it to the Auxiliary Service Business Office located in the University Union.
