Refund Policy

Actual rates and refunds are based on the date the permit was purchased and returned to the Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO). The refund amount will be based on the prorated value when the permit is cancelled (not the date of separation from the University) to ASBO. For information regarding any specific refund amount, please visit the Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO) on the first floor of the Union.

Additionally, depending on type of permit, term or annual refunds can only be processed up to a certain date. Permits can only be returned in person. Individuals who have utilized Payroll Deduction to pay for their permit may not be eligible for refunds.

Individuals may cancel an annual permit for a prorated refund within the time periods below.  Daily, weekly, and monthly permits are not eligible for refunds.

  • Permits expiring August 31, 2015 may be cancelled for a prorated refund through Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
  • No refunds will be processed for Annual permits after Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

NOTE: Individuals who pay for their permit with Payroll Deduction are not eligible for refunds. Financial obligation does not end until the parking permit is cancelled through the Auxiliary Services Business Office in the University Union. Upon termination of employment, individuals who utilize Payroll Deduction or Installment payments will be responsible for any remaining balance, unless the virtual permit is "officially" cancelled with the Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO). Refund amounts and remaining balance will be determined based on the date of cancellation with the ASBO.

 

Exchanging a Permit

If your permit is eligible for an exchange, please visit the Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO) on the first floor of the University Union for specific information regarding exchanging your permit. Permits can only be exchanged in person.

 

Canceling Payroll Deduction Plan

To cancel your enrollment in the Payroll Deduction Plan, you must visit the Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO) on the first floor of the University Union. You will need to complete and submit a Payroll Deduction Cancellation card. Cancellation of the Payroll Deduction Plan must be done in person.

 

Canceling Installment Payment Plan

To cancel your enrollment in the Installment Payment Plan, you must visit the Auxiliary Services Business Office (ASBO) on the first floor of the University Union. You will need to complete and submit an Installment Payment Plan Cancellation card. Cancellation of the Installment Payment Plan must be done in person.

 

Prorate Schedule for Annual Faculty/Staff Permits

Permits are prorated weekly beginning in September. The actual cost of a permit depends on the date the permit is purchased. No refunds will be processed for Annual permits after March 31st, 2015.  Please contact the office for summer rates.
