Para transit service is provided to faculty, staff and students who are registered with Disabilities Support Services (DSS). To register, passengers must contact DSS to schedule an appointment with a Disabilities Specialist and complete an Intake Assessment and Para transit Service Application. Once registered, DSS will issue a Para-transit Access Card. The passenger is required to display this card to the Para transit driver upon boarding the vehicle.
The university's para-transit service offers on-campus scheduled pick-ups to all faculty, staff, and students with certified para-transit needs. If you have a permanent or temporary mobility concern, this is the service for you. Transports for rides will be provided within 30 minutes of the requested pick-up time. Vehicles are equipped with a wheelchair lift and will make pickups at any campus location safely accessible by vehicle.
In addition to the para-transit service, the front seats of each campus shuttle bus are reserved for individuals with disabilities.
For those with para-transit needs wishing to travel off-campus or during times when shuttle routes are not in operation, individuals will need to arrange for transportation through an outside service provider, such as MTA Mobility.
Hours of Operation During the Fall & Spring Semesters
Monday Through Friday - 7:30 am through 10:00 p.m.

Hours of Operation - Summer, Winter Break & Minimester
During the summer, winter and minimester breaks when regular routes and SafeRide are not running and the campus is open, services will be available Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Para transit service is also available during Safe Ride hours.
