Glen Bridge Closure on April 30

On April 30, 2012 pedestrians can expect three short delays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the area of the Glen pedestrian bridge near the existing construction site. These delays could take as long as ten minutes. Please consider the detour shown on the link below during this time.

Campus Gateway

Pedestrian travel in the area between the CLA building, Burdick Hall and the University Union will be limited throughout the winter while construction on the campus gateway is underway. See the maps below for additional information and recommended routes.

University Union

A large portion of the areas surrounding the University Union will be blocked off throughout the fall and winter in order to accommodate utility work and construction on the new campus gateway. See the interactive construction map on the right of this page, or click the Show Construction box at the main campus map to see the exact locations of the closures. Temporary pedestrian walkways have been constructed to facilitate passage through the area.

Burdick Hall

A large portion of the areas surrounding Burdick Hall will be blocked off during the fall and winter in order to accommodate utility work and construction on the new campus gateway. The entrance nearest the Fitness Center will be closed. Pedestrians will be directed to the University Avenue entrance and the side entrance near Schuerholz Field during construction. The interactive construction map on the right of this page shows the specific pedestrian paths available for accessing Burdick Hall.

Newell Avenue

Newell Avenue is permanently closed to vehicular traffic between Newell Dining Hall and Dowell Health Center. Pedestrian traffic is still available in the area.
