Environmental Safety

The intention of this program is to promote practical and attainable levels of protection for the campus community and the environment. This program involves routine inspections, monitoring of many campus operations/activities, training of personnel, and sampling activities to assure compliance with federal and state regulations. Areas included are: Emergency Response, Underground (UST) and Above (AST) Ground Storage Tanks, the University's Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan, Drinking Water, Driver Improvement Program (DIP), CDL Controlled Substance and Alcohol Program, Non-Hazardous Waste Disposal, Wastewater and Surface Water (NPDES) Discharge Permits.
