Materiel Management operates three distinct stores, that is Central Stores, Maintenance Stores and Chemistry Stores. Together, we stock, inventory and sell more than 1,800 stock items.
Our Central Warehouse facility is home to stores of bulk TU Logo envelopes, as well as routine maintenance, building trades, and automotive supplies and parts. Supply operations consist of requisitioning, purchasing, stocking, issuing, distributing and charging back the cost of these materials to the requisitioning departments. We also manage the Chemistry department's inventory of stock chemicals and glassware.
Inventory management involves the physical tracking and financial accounting of these distinct inventories. Please use the following links for more information.
Class Record Books, TU Logo and Inter-Office envelopes are available in our store, and descriptions and prices are pre-printed directly on the Central Stores Requisition. These stock items are available to all campus departments. Please use the linked form and fax to us at x4-2664.
Please note that if you require return address printing on Towson Logo-printed envelopes, you must order envelopes from Printing and Duplicating Services. Logo envelopes obtained directly from our stock using our requisition form will not have your return address printed on them.
Interoffice envelopes, available through our Central Stores Requisition, are the type recommended by Mail Services for campus use. Other commercial brands, may be formatted differently, causing delays in mail processing. Our stock envelopes are also less expensive, better quality, and readily available.
Order Delivery: Faxed Orders received one day are delivered the following day, usually scheduled with our small-package deliveries.
Maintenance Supplies are exclusively available to Towson University Facilities Management maintenance personnel. Maintenance staff should present pre-authorized requisitions at the time of issue.
Chemicals and glassware are the property of the Chemistry Department and are available only to authorized Chemistry Department personnel.
