Towson University Police Chief Bernie Gerst talks to students about safety.

The Towson University Police Department is committed to providing effective policing and quality public safety services to the university and its surrounding area 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Our dedicated staff members distribute safety information, conduct crime prevention presentations, patrol the campus, and implement emergency operations plans to maintain a safe environment for students, faculty, staff and community members to live, work and learn. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated in our receipt of the Governor's Crime Prevention Award for 25 consecutive years.
