Our office assists students, parents, faculty and staff with financial matters impacting students during their college experience at Towson University. The areas we oversee include the following (for more information about each area click on link provided below):
- On-Campus Student Hiring. For all on-campus student employees our office processes all hire paperwork into the payroll system for each job students have at TU.
- Nonresident Alien Tax Compliance. payments made to individuals who are non-US Citizens/Permanent Resident Aliens (foreign student and scholars) our offices conducts tax analysis and determines proper tax withholding and reporting as part of role in maintaining institutional compliance per Internal Revenue Service regulations..
- Financial Education. As a way to further support students in navigating college finances our staff provides financial education workshops and programs at various on-campus events including TU Cares, Transfer Student Orientation and Family Weekend. Offering financial coaching for parents and staff related to financial aid, student loans, credit, identity theft, savings and budgeting.
- Free Tax Preparation. Supporting the College of Business and Economics free tax preparation services by providing an on-site free tax preparation services in the Administration Building.
