Council of University System Staff
The Council of University System Staff (CUSS) was founded in 1992 and serves as an advisory body to the Chancellor of the University System of Maryland (USM) on system-wide issues. CUSS consists of representatives from all of the USM institutions and provides non-faculty employees a voice in the governance of the system. Through the council, all staff employees have the opportunity to influence policies and decisions affecting their interests. Towson University has two representatives serving on CUSS: one representing exempt staff and one representing nonexempt staff. The Towson University Staff Council (TUSC) annually selects these representatives.
