University Open House Day

Microsoft Windows 8

During the Faculty Conference on January 16, 2013 and the University Open House on January 24, you can drop by to preview and explore Windows 8, Microsoft's latest operating system. Windows 8 was released in October 2012 and incorporates touch-screen technology. Tablet, laptop, or desktop computers that have touch-screen displays will be able to take advantage of Windows 8 features.

The two Windows 8 demonstration computers below will be available with touch-screens:

• Dell OptiPlex 9010 All-in-One Desktop Computer

• Standard Dell computer with a Dell 10-point Multi-touch Monitor
  The multi-touch monitor on this computer connects to a standard computer, enabling the computer to utilize the touch-screen technology available in Windows 8. The monitor includes an articulating stand that allows you to adjust the monitor to a variety of positions.
