CENTER FOR INSTRUCTIONAL ADVANCEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY (CIAT)

Emerging Technology

The OTS Emerging Technology Series is designed to share new and evolving technologies with Towson faculty, staff and students. These technologies are identified for their potential to enhance or improve the educational experience of students and the instructional experiences of faculty/staff.

Our goal is to work collaboratively with other members of the Towson community to share technologies that may work to supplement/enhance face-to-face, hybrid or online instruction.

During the series faculty members can attend workshops, brown bags (breakfast, lunch or dinner), or participate in online discussions, as well as other activities.

Examples:
Social Networking (MySpace, Facebook, Orkut, Hi5)
Multi-User Virtual Environment (Second Life, There, Active Worlds)
Blogs (Blogger, WordPress)
