Instructional Supportinstructional support

Confidential instructional design and teaching consultations are available to all faculty members teaching face-to-face, web-supported, hybrid or online classes. The process involves guiding faculty in the application of proven learning practices and theories that match instructional goals and learning outcomes, development or identification of course content, implementation of instructional strategies, and effective integration of technology into their courses.

CIAT instructional design staff are also available to consult with academic program chairs and directors on the development, evaluation and maintenance of online courses and programs.

For more information, please contact Audrey Cutler at (410-704-5082/acutler@towson.edu) or La Tonya Dyer (410-704-4723/ldyer@towson.edu ).

Professional Development

CIAT offers and coordinates professional development opportunities via face-to-face and online workshops for all faculty throughout the academic year. The topics covered range from emerging technologies to instructional design and teaching topics.

CIAT hosts and facilitates teaching circles and learning communities to support faculty as they progress through the different stages of adopting instructional technologies and implementing instructional methodologies or practices.

Faculty interested in starting a teaching circle or who would like to join the current teaching circles should contact La Tonya Dyer (WebEx Teaching Circle) or Audrey Cutler (Blackboard Teaching Circle).
