The Virtual Workspace service allows faculty, staff and student employees access to Exchange (Outlook) mailboxes, network file shares (e.g., H: and O: drives) and standard Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel) from any off-campus computer, or from any on-campus Macintosh computer.

When logging into the service, you are actually logging into a server in Cook Library. The images of that desktop are transmitted to your desktop. This allows any off-campus users to use applications, H: and O: drives and Exchange mailboxes as if they were using an on-campus computer. This also allows on-campus Macintosh users to take advantage of the Microsoft Outlook e-mail application.
