Harmful Viruses

A virus is a form of malware. Some viruses and other malware have noticeable symptoms, while many run in the background and do not affect performance. A virus is a program that makes copies of itself, attaches to other programs, and performs unwanted or malicious actions when it runs. They are designed to currupt and delete data or spread themselves to other computers. 

If you feel like your system's performance has been slowing down recently or data you have on your computer has become corrupted, your computer may be infected with a virus. If you think your computer has a virus, perform at least one of the following:
