About TU

TU Wireless

TU Wireless Network – The freedom to access Internet and network resources anytime, anywhere.

TU Wireless network offers two on-campus connections, tu-secure and tu-openaccess. All faculty, staff and students should use tu-secure as their wireless connection on campus. This allows them a secure connection and the ability to access on campus resources. Guests to campus should use the

tu-openaccess network.

To learn more about these two wireless networks, see:

  • tu-secure (faculty, staff, students) - Use this network if you have a Towson NetID. This will give you access to printers, network drives (H:, O:, etc.) and/or Towson resources.
  • tu-openaccess (guests and visitors) - Use this network if you are a guest of Towson University. It is also used for entertainment devices such as ROKU, Xbox, and Wii's.

eduroam is a global wireless service that enables students, researchers and staff to obtain secure and fast internet connectivity across campuses of participating organizations all over the world. Towson is a participating University; however, we do not broadcast eduroam on this campus. Visitors should use TU-openaccess.
