The Towson University Campus Phone Upgrade project will upgrade the current phone system and handsets in phases. All desktop phones that are not part of a managed call center will be upgraded before February 2012. The new phone system includes useful features like having your voicemail delivered to your inbox and will provide higher efficiency by running both the phone call traffic and the network through the same infrastructure.
Each department telephone coordinator will be contacted as their phase of the upgrade approaches to confirm the configuration of their department’s phones.
Towson University’s Office of Technology Services provides training and support for the new phones. The OTS Telecom Help Desk (410-704-5151) continues to be your point for assistance with problems and phone configuration requests. OTS Training provides help sheets, video tutorials and online instructor led trainings to guide you through the use of the phone system’s new features.
