The SCS Computer Lab
The SCS Computer Lab offers computer hardware, software and work space to
all students, regardless of major, on a walk-in
basis. Although configured to support
independent
work, the Lab is staffed by a friendly team of
students capable of orienting users to lab
operations and answering general questions.
The SCS Service Desk provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to students experiencing problems with their NetIDs or to students who otherwise seek advice on how to best accomplish particular computing tasks. The Service Desk offers several modes of support:
- e-mail . . . . . . scs@towson.edu
- telephone. . . 410-704-5151
- walk-up. . . . . Cook Library, room 35
- website . . . . . www.towson.edu/scs

The SCS Learning Center
The SCS Learning Center complements the Lab and
Service Desk by offering training
and consulting services, as well as special
equipment and software for poster printing,
scanning, digital photography, digital videography,
graphics and multimedia production, and presentation
rehearsal. As an integral part of the OTS Technology
Training team, SCS offers workshops on campus
standard applications and systems for all members of
the TU community. For students whose needs exceed
the workshops solution, SCS offers individualized
consulting.
The SCS Studio
The SCS Studio is an ideal working and
learning space for audio/video production
and active
presentation rehearsal. It is intended for
students of all experience
levels, from media production majors looking for a
place to work independently to less experienced
students with little more than a desire to create
and a willingness to learn. Visit the
Studio page for information on available software
and hardware, reserving and borrowing resources, and
getting assistance with new and unfamiliar tools.
In addition, SCS provides OMR (Scantron) scanning and report generation for tests and surveys administered university-wide, custom form definitions for specialized surveys, and coordination for student course evaluation processing. To request services, send us an e-mail message.
