Telecommunications

The Telecommunications department offers cellular, business and residential phone access and support to students, faculty and staff members. We manage the university’s Web-based phone directory and publish a printable directory each spring and fall semester. We also maintain the university's online phone directory through departmental phone coordinators.

Student Telecommunications

The university provides local phone service to on-campus residential rooms. Students are responsible for providing phones to connect to the service. Direct-dial long distance is not allowed from the residential rooms, but long distance calls can be made by using a calling card accessible via a 1-800 number. Student telecommunications questions should be directed to the help desk at 410-704-5151, option 1.

Faculty/Staff Telecommunications

 The Telecommunications department manages university business and cellular phones in terms of user access, support and oversight. From user guides to extension requests, we provide the necessary telecommunication equipment and information to enable university employees to effectively perform their job role.
