Student Web Pages

Students automatically receive space for Web pages as part of their general computing account.

Students can publish Web pages on the Tiger server. Web pages can be published using Microsoft SharePoint Designer 2007 (later versions of SharePoint Designer will not work). Instructions are available below.

• SharePoint Designer Instructions

Students can also place Web files created in other programs in the "WWW" folder in their Tiger account. Dreamweaver, Notepad/text editors and SharePoint Designer 2007 can be used to create Web page files. A student can use WebDisk to copy files into her Tiger account. OTS Training offers guides to using Dreamweaver and SharePoint Designer to publish sites to Tiger accounts.

Training sessions for publishing web pages are available through OTS Training.

By default, the Web addresses (URLs, or Uniform Resource Locators) are http://tiger.towson.edu/~username, where username is the username of the student.

Students experiencing difficulties viewing their Web pages can click below for troubleshooting information, or call 410-704-5151 or e-mail scs@towson.edu.
