Eco-Reps plan events with sustainability themes in their residence hall, promote sustainability initiatives across campus, and connect their peers to environmental student groups, staff and faculty. Eco-Reps have the opportunity take part in workshops, field trips, and leadership training that prepare them for sustainability careers in the future.
Eco-Reps will devote 3-4 hours a week to:
Attend weekly Eco-Rep meetings
Workshops and leadership training
Working in project teams
Work in teams on year-long projects with tangible, meaningful results in the following areas:
Waste & Recycling
Water Conservation & Management
Help plan and run campus-wide events
Campus Sustainability Day
Energy Conservation Contest
Present to student groups, classes, and other campus audiences on how to "go green" on campus
Collaborate with President's Climate Commitment (PCC) committee members to reduce our carbon footprint
Engage fellow students on sustainability topics through creative events, activities, and social media posts

Do It in the Dark Competition
Sign the Do it in the Dark Competition Pledge and help your Residence Hall win the Energy Conservation Contest! The Residence Hall that reduces its energy consumption the most per student wins a cash prize of $100-$500 towards their Residence Hall budget. Keep track of progress every Wednesday through our Facebook page, blog, and through the ecoscreen (in the lobby of the Union, West Village Commons, Smith Hall and Center for the Arts).
