Clara is responsible for developing new sustainability initiatives and coordinating staff, faculty, and students working to advance sustainability at Towson. She serves on the President’s Climate Committee and oversees implementation of the Climate Action Plan. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Utah, and a BA in English from Smith College. She is the author of the sustainability blog Residence on Earth.
Steve Kolb Energy Manager
As Towson's Energy Manager Steve is responsible for identifying energy improvement opportunities all over campus. In addition, he is responsible for implementing and managing various energy improvement projects across the university. He has 20+ years in electrical engineering, energy management, and lighting systems design. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from University of Baltimore and holds an AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology.
Pamela Mooney is the Director of Parking & Transportation Services. She has held this position for over 9 years at Towson University and has over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry. She majored in Transportation and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. As the Director of Parking & Transportation Services, she is responsible for the management of the campus Alternative Transportation programs, to include the Towson University shuttle program.
Kevin Ryan Intern
Kevin has been an intern with the Office of Sustainability since August 2011. He is currently majoring in Geography and Environmental Planning with a minor in Geographic Information Systems. He is expected to graduate in Spring of 2014. His responsibilties include updating the Sustainability website, creating AutoCAD drawings, and communicating various kinds of information to the Sustainability Manager.
Shannon Angell Intern
Shannon Angell will graduate with a degree in Environmental Science and Studies from TU in Fall 2013. She also holds an Associates of Arts in Paralegal Studies. Shannon's main projects include TU's waste diversion plan, sustainability research, and communications.
Daniela Beall Intern
Daniela transferred to Towson from Cornell University and is majoring in Environmental Science & Studies. She expects to graduate in the Spring of 2014. Her is developing the eco-rep peer environmental education program. She hopes to encourage student involvement and build enthusiasm for Sustainable initiatives on campus.
