Beta Chapter's History

A man of valor and five vivacious ladies discovered a need for a Christian alternative to the Greek life at Towson University. In the fall semester of 1991, their effort to charter the nationally known Christian organization was rewarded, and Towson University was recognized as the Bold and Beautiful Beta Love Chapter of Alpha Nu Omega, Inc.

After fall of 1991, Alpha Nu Omega, Inc. was recognized as a religious SGA (Student Government Association) group on Towson University's campus. It was not until the fall of 2005 that Alpha Nu Omega, Inc. received Greek life recognition.

In the fall of 2004, Dove Sister Mojirayo A. Sarumi along with  Dove Sister Tiffany L. Moore worked with the radiant ladies of Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. (Zeta chapter) in order to establish Unified Greek Council (UGC). After SGA's approval in the fall of 2005, UGC became the first SGA affiliated local Greek Council at Towson University.
