Benefits and Services

There are many benefits and services available to TU alumni,  including discounts to fine arts events, fitness center/pool memberships, use of Cook Library, and more. You'll need to obtain your alumni ID card to take advantage of many of these opportunities. For more information, contact the Office of Alumni Relations, 410-704-2234.

Alumni Association ID Cards
Your ID card provides access to Alumni Association benefits and services. To obtain an ID, call the Office of Alumni Relations at 410-704-2234 or send an e-mail to alumni@towson.edu. You can also request your ID card online at TigerTracks, the alumni online community.

Auto and Home Insurance (Liberty Mutual)

Brick By Brick Program
Alumni, parents and friends can purchase engraved bricks to be placed in the front walkway, and the side and back patio of the historic Auburn House. Built in 1790, the Auburn House welcomes visitors with old-fashioned charm. To place an order, fill out the order form or e-mail the Office of Alumni Relations.

Career Center

As an alumna/us, you will have access to the HIRE@TU Jobs and Internships database. Call the Career Center at 410-704-2233 for login information. Also, feel free to stop by the Career Center to check out their Resource Library!

Cook Library Privileges
Alumni are welcome to use Cook Library and its resources. Just present your ID card and the library staff will assign you an account number so you can check out books.  For Cook Library hours, call 410-704-2452 or visit them on the website.

Financial Literacy
In an effort to influence student behavior about personal finance, Towson University created the Money Attitude Program. The program is designed to assist the TU community as a whole, from current students to alumni, who are at various stages in their understanding of personal finances. The resources provided may help you develop short and long-term financial goals that fit your lifestyle, as well as give you important financial tips for this time in your life.

Discounts to Fine Arts Events
Use your ID card when purchasing tickets to events to receive an alumni discount.

Fitness Center/Pool Memberships
Alumni may purchase a membership to use the CRIB Fitness Center and pool in Burdick Hall.   Annual parking permits are also sold in addition to the annual gym membership. (See below for more information about alumni parking permits). Memberships may be purchased at the Auxiliary Services Business Office, located in the University Union. Please bring your Alumni Association ID card with you. For more information, call 410-704-2234. Contact Campus Recreation Services for hours of operation at the fitness center and pool, 410-704-2367.

$275 annual membership fee includes access to CRIB Fitness Center and pool.

Membership costs are prorated as follows, depending on the date you purchase a membership.

Racquetball

Towson University Alumni have access to the racquetball courts in the Towson Center on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations for court time will be accepted. The benefit of using the racquetball courts is for alumni only, and is not extended to family members. Alumni must possess an Alumni ID Card and photo ID such as a driver’s license to use the racquetball courts. Please email alumni@towson.edu if you need an Alumni ID card.

 

Towson University License Plates
Purchasing a TU tag is a great way to show your Tiger Pride and support alumni programs at Towson. The cost of the Towson tag varies by plate number, as follows:

Plate numbers 1-10 $1,000
Plate numbers 11-15 $500
Plate numbers 15-25 $250
Plate numbers 26-199

A portion of this fee goes directly to the TU Alumni Association to help fund alumni programming. Your application for the Towson University license plate does not alter your current registration period or fees. You will continue to renew your registration with the MVA every two years. Please e-mail alumni@towson.edu for more information.

The Alumni Insurance Program

The Towson University Alumni Insurance Program is a convenient source for health and life insurance for alumni and their family members.  Available plans are GradMed® short-term health insurance, AlumniTerm® group term life insurance and AlumniTerm 10/20® group level term life insurance.  Get more information on these insurance plans by visiting www.alumniinsuranceprogram.com/towson or call American Insurance Administrators at 800-922-1245 weekdays, 8 am – 6 pm, Eastern Time.

Parking Permits
Annual alumni parking permits may be purchased from the Auxiliary Services Business Office in the University Union.  For detailed information on parking, please visit the the Parking and Transportation web site or contact them at 410-704-PARK (7275) or at upark@towson.edu.  Specific information regarding Alumni permits may be found by following the links to “Permits” and then “Special Programs."

Awards, Grants and Scholarships
The Alumni Association offers various scholarships and awards for alumni and their children. For more information, go to the Awards, Grants and Scholarships web page.

Alumni Admissions Nomination form

Alumni can support one undergraduate student's application for admission each year by waiving the application fee. Nomination forms are available online, or through the Office of Alumni Relations.
