Towson University 2010
Towson University recently received the 2008 Community Engagement Classification for "Curricular Engagement" and "Outreach and Partnerships" from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. According to President Caret, "This classification is a significant milestone for Towson University that reinforces our long-standing metropolitan university mission to broaden and enhance the views of our students through collaborative on-and-off campus engagement that responds to the needs of our region." Some of the other universities selected for the 2008 classification include: University of North Carolina at Charlotte, East Carolina University, Duke University, and Georgetown University.
