Ryan Fredriksson
Director of Legislative Affairs, Towson University Student Government Association
"Tiger Pride Day is Towson University's annual day for students to travel to Annapolis and speak to elected officials about key legislative issues that affect the University. During the day students have the opportunity to interact with legislators through multiple meetings and a legislative reception. Tiger Pride Day is very important to the student body because it allows them to personally voice their concerns to elected officials. This year is the 13th annual Tiger Pride Day, and each year Towson's presence in Annapolis becomes increasingly important, especially with recent tough economic times. Thanks to events such as Tiger Pride Day, Towson University is fortunate to have built relationships with many legislators, which allows for issues to be voiced to lawmakers throughout the year. Many Towson University students are well aware of the issues that affect them on a local and state level. Each year students are eager to head down to Annapolis to try and make a difference!"
