Want to help other students quit smoking? Apply now to be a peer educator!
The Wellness and Self-Care peer education group, a combined effort of the Dowell Health Center and the Counseling Center is looking for students with a specific interest in tobacco education. Identified students will not only be involved with general wellness education to the campus at large but will be trained to provide smoking cessation counseling to students who want to quit smoking and maybe involved in. This is a unique leadership opportunity to help make a difference in the health and wellbeing of others through a facilitated behavior change process. Peer educators can earn upper level class credit or get paid.
If you are interested in applying to be a Wellness and Self-Care peer educator please fill out an online application at: http://www.towson.edu/counseling/peereds/psychologicalwellnesspeered.asp
Please indicate in your application if you are specifically interested in tobacco education and smoking cessation.
