• Using the rubric and instructor's comments to compare one's work to an A+ and D+ sample.
• Drafting a brief report to summarize the comparative analysis and justify the self-evaluation score.

Say It Quickly: Using Pecha Kucha to Sharpen Research and Presentation Skills

Pecha Kucha is a presentation format to help learners hone research skills, analyze information, and present in a professional, succinct manner. The 6:40 limit (6 slides, 40 minutes each) imposed on this style of PowerPoint presentation encourages learners to present the most relevant information. Grading rubrics will also be discussed. Attendees will work in small groups to create their own Pecha Kucha presentations.

When: Thursday, November 19, 2009
Time: 12:30 – 1:45 p.m.
Where: Cook 317
