Roadway work on Newell Avenue

Roadway and utility work has been taking place this week on Newell Avenue just north of Newell Hall. The work was scheduled to be complete by today, but problems with underground utility locations have made it necessary for additional modifications to be made. Therefore, work in this area will continue into next week.

We anticipate the work to be complete by January 12 or 13, 2012. Deliveries and service by automobiles and small trucks will continue to be available, but deliveries by large vehicles will be difficult until the end of next week.

When the work is complete next week, the road surface will be temporarily patched until a permanent patch can be provided during warmer weather.
